Will you cover me if I intend to travel for longer than 12 months?

Yes. The maximum duration of our single trip policies is 18 months.

Cover commences at the time you leave your home and ends at the time you return home.

A single trip policy is available for Australian / New Zealand residents aged 75 years or less at the time of travel who are travelling on a return basis. Return basis means You will be leaving Australia / New Zealand to commence the Trip and returning to Australia / New Zealand at the end of the Trip.

You are an Australian / New Zealand resident if You satisfy the following conditions:

i) You have a permanent residential address in Australia / New Zealand and will be retaining residential status in Australia / New Zealand for the duration of Your Trip;

ii) You will be travelling overseas for a period not exceeding 18 months in total from the date You originally depart Australia / New Zealand; 

iii) You have unrestricted right of entry into Australia / New Zealand; 

iv) You have access to long term medical care in Australia / New Zealand (excluding Reciprocal Health Agreements); and

v) You will be returning to Australia / New Zealand on the end date of the policy.
